Walking Dharma is a grassroots yoga school created by Kristen Coyle, E-RYT 500. Our goal is to help you embrace yourself and the world whole heartedly through embodying yogic practices and philosophy. We assist people in accessing their infinite potential through yoga classes, workshops, trainings, retreats and mentorship.

Kristen Coyle is a dedicated yoga practitioner, teacher and therapeutic bodyworker who has spent more than half of her life cultivating a relationship with the inherent wisdom of the body and the body/mind’s ability to self heal. Kristen began her journey with yoga at the age of 17 where she discovered a sense of self acceptance and freedom from angst and anxiety every time she attended practice. These initial experiences with yoga and the freedom she felt afterwards anchored her as a practitioner for life and sent her on a spiritual quest to deepen her connection to the lineage, wisdom, grace and awakening that yoga invited on the deepest level.
Kristen specializes in alignment based Vinyasa Yoga classes that are infused with anatomically informed sequencing, breath-based movement, spinal waves and strength drills. In addition, she leads Restorative/Yin Yoga practices that invoke deep relaxation by helping unwind the fascia and balance the nervous system. Breathing exercises, chanting and yogic philosophy are also integral aspects of her offerings. Her strong and loving guidance takes practitioners on a journey into breath awareness, physical activation, insight, and empowerment through potent yoga techniques and deep relaxation.
In 2014 she co-established Walking Dharma Yoga School Yoga Teacher Training (200 and 300 hour level) and began leading trainings focused on Vinyasa and Raja Yoga. Kristen is also the founder of Walking Dharma podcast, which examines classical spiritual teachings and applies them to modern day living. When not immersed in yoga, she can be found frolicking on pristine beaches, swimming in sacred waters, sipping tea, and living life as a celebration.
