Kristen Coyle is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of yoga. She began practicing yoga 16 years ago and has been teaching yoga and leading yoga teacher trainings and retreats for 13 years at various locales around the world. She currently resides on Hawai’i Island where she enjoys creating deep community and connection centered around yoga.

As a facilitator, her intentions are to be a clear emissary of the traditional yogic teachings and techniques in a way that is both empowering and medicinal. She applies her extensive understanding of anatomy and metaphoric healing to her teaching and loves creating dynamic, highly intelligent sequences that assist students in their unfolding process. She ongoingly offers group classes centered around Vinyasa Yoga, therapeutic private yoga lessons for pain relief, and inspiring workshops focused on asana, pranayama, Yin yoga, mantra, and yogic philosophy.

Kristen has had the pleasure of studying with countless world renowned instructors and in 2011, she received her advanced certification from Yogi Sri Dharma Mitra in NYC. Currently, she studies Ashtanga yoga with Nicole Garr.

In 2014, she co-founded Transformational Flow Yoga School (RYS 200 and RYS 300) Yoga Teacher Training and is fully dedicated to the art of assisting and empowering aspiring teachers to teach yoga in a way that is both authentic to their own truths and steeped in yogic tradition. Kristen offers a bi-monthly podcast called ‘Walking Dharma’ where she demystifies classical spiritual teachings and through humor and storytelling applies them to modern day living.

In addition to teaching yoga, Kristen is a therapeutic bodyworker and energy healer with 15 years of experience. She specializes in trauma recovery on the physical and energetic planes.
